The Association of Harvard Asian and Asian American Faculty and Staff invites you to a film screening and panel discussion in observation of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
“Looking for Luke” is a documentary about Luke Tang, a Harvard College sophomore who died by suicide in 2015. The film features his parents who are struggling to grapple with their child’s choice to end his own life. There are significant implications for Asian and Asian-American students, faculty, and staff, especially as we consider ways to support each other in higher education.
A Pan-Asian panel of mental health professionals and mental health consumers will discuss the film and their personal experiences following the screening. This event is open to ALL.
Date: Friday, May 12, 2017
Location: Askwith Hall (1st floor of Longfellow Hall) at 13 Appian Way, Cambridge, MA
Lunch will be provided, sponsored by the Harvard Office of the Assistant to the President and The Dean’s Venture Fund of Harvard Graduate School of Education
