The Nuts & Bolts of SSI and SSDI, Public Health Insurance and Other Public Benefits

April 12 - April 13

Training Description:
This training focuses on how earnings from work affects SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and other public benefits such as subsidized housing and food stamps. This training also includes an extensive review of the work incentives associated with each benefit and how they can be leveraged to assist individuals with disabilities to transition into employment or increase earnings without jeopardizing benefits.

Participants should attend both days to gain a firm understanding.

This training has been approved for 10.5 Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) CE hours!

Target Audience:
Employment professionals; case managers and rehabilitation counselors.

The April training is targeted to professionals who assist individuals who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

04/12/17 & 04/13/17, UMass Medical School, Shrewsbury, MA (ASL & CART)
May 2017 (date TBD), North Shore Career Center, Salem, MA
May 2017 (date TBD), Career Source, Cambridge, MA

Registration Information:
Class size is limited to 25 participants. Cost per person is $250.

Breakfast will be provided. Attendees will be responsible for bringing or purchasing lunch.
