Join us on May 18th for our REV-UP! Conference.
May 18, 2018, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center
2018, even without a presidential election, is an extremely important year for people with disabilities. Many (if not all) supports, services and civil rights have been under attack. While we have been largely protected in Massachusetts, voting has never been more important. Multiple studies have shown that people with disabilities are under-represented, and could make a difference in many contests if they showed up at the polls.
Commissioner Thomas Hicks of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission will address voter accessibility, voter registration, and increased HAVA funds for the states.
Zach Baldwin of AAPD will present on national REV UP efforts to allow people with disabilities to fully participate in the political process.
A representative from the Massachusetts Office on Disability will address efforts made by the agency to ensure full and equal participation of all people with disabilities in the voting process.
A representative from Secretary of State William Galvin’s Office will present on their efforts to ensure equal access for all voters.
Lunch will be provided!
