Sign Our Joint Letter with the Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL) to Protect Mental Health Services in the Budget
Are you concerned about the devastating cuts to vital mental health services in Governor Healey’s H.1 budget? NAMI Massachusetts and the Parent/Professional Advocacy League (PPAL) are urging our communities to take action. We’re asking you to sign on to a joint letter calling on the Healey Administration to address the devastating cuts to the Department of Mental Health proposed in H.1. If mental health is truly a priority for this Administration, as previously stated, then the budget must reflect that commitment.
In addition, we will be sending this letter to the Chairs of the House and Senate Ways and Means Committees and imploring them to restore the devastating mental health cuts included in the Healy Administration’s budget proposal.
By clicking the button below, you’ll be able to read our full letter and add your name in support. The letter outlines the profound and widespread effects these budget cuts will have for individuals living with mental health conditions and the families and caregivers who support them throughout the Commonwealth.
With enough support from our community, we can send a clear message: mental health services must be prioritized and protected in the FY26 budget. Deadline to sign on is midnight on Tuesday, April 22nd.
