Affordable Housing: Everyone Deserves a Safe and Affordable Place to Live

Massachusetts is in an affordable housing crisis. There is not enough housing to go around and people with disabilities are often discriminated against. Homelessness is on the rise and zoning practices perpetuate racism and economic segregation. This workshop will provide valuable housing resources and ideas, including how to apply for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, public housing, and the Mass Rental Voucher Program and Alternative Housing Voucher Program. Participants will also learn how to preserve present housing, report discrimination, obtain reasonable accomodations, and find local application support.
