We’re excited to offer training for people who are interested in sharing their personal stories! If you are interested in sharing your story of living with a mental health condition or your story of supporting a family member living with a mental health condition, then check out these training opportunities!
All presenters are paid a stipend for each presentation along with a travel reimbursement for in-person presentations. All presentations are currently being offered virtually and in-person.
All interested applicants must fill out an application, complete an interview, and attend a pre-training session.
In Our Own Voice (IOOV) is a powerful presentation that aims to change attitudes, assumptions, and stereotypes about people living with mental health conditions. Two trained presenters with lived experience of a mental health condition talk openly about their experiences and how they have found pathways to hope and healing. Audience members have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about mental health, and challenge misconceptions.

- You have a diverse life experience: LGBTQ+, persons with disabilities, immigrants, refugees, formerly incarcerated individuals, etc.
Sharing Our Stories (SOS) is an impactful presentation delivered by two family members of people living with mental health conditions. Two trained presenters share their experiences as caregivers and supporters and their personal journeys. Audience members will have the chance to ask questions and engage in discussion with the speakers.

We are looking for presenters who are able to share their stories with police officers, educators, other parents, and workplace audiences and have availability during the day, Monday through Friday. All selected applications must participate in the complete training course, which includes independent pre-work and a full-day training session. All of our programs have a low time commitment with flexible scheduling. Speakers will receive a stipend and travel reimbursement for each presentation.
